Volunteer

I feel strongly about giving back to the community. Most of my volunteer work has taken place in Cork, Ireland with an emphasis on the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans) Community.  I have a deep appreciation for this community and its people, and my individual skill sets were very much in demand, so I did what I could to help out.

This included:

• Serving on the Steering Committee of the Cork Pride 2009 Festival
• Launching the REBEL Awards Dinner and Ceremony
• Assisting with the launch and expansion of the GayinIreland.com group of sites
• Various web projects, for The Other Place resource centre and cafe, and the Cork Gay Project, and
• Serving on the Gay Men’s Helpline.
